Delete Your Account

1. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request the deletion of your Medi Reminder account and all associated data using either of the following methods:

Method 1: In-App (Recommended)

• Open the Medi Reminder app on your device
• Navigate to Profile > Settings
• Tap "Delete Account"
• Confirm the deletion when prompted
• Your account and all associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion

Method 2: Via Email

• Send an email to [email protected]
• Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
• Include the email address associated with your account in the body of the email
• We will process your request within 48 hours and send you a confirmation email once complete

2. What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

• Personal profile information — name, email, phone number, age, gender, and profile photo
• Medicine records — all medicine entries, dosages, and reminder schedules
• Prescription records — doctor visit history, diagnoses, vitals, notes, and all attached files (photos, PDFs, links)
• Purchase logs — medicine purchase history, spending records, pharmacy details, and stock tracking data
• Health goals and streaks — all goals, daily progress, streak history, and wellness activity logs
• Health tips data — interaction history, completed tips, and health score records
• Cloud sync data — all data stored in Firebase (Firestore) for cloud backup and sync
• Uploaded content — all medical documents, receipts, images, and other attachments

3. What Happens After Deletion

Once your account deletion is confirmed:

• Your account will be immediately deactivated and you will be signed out of the app
• All personal data will be permanently deleted from cloud storage (Firebase Firestore) within 30 days
• Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear app data
• You will be signed out on all devices where you were logged in
• All push notifications and medicine reminders will stop immediately
• This process is irreversible — once completed, your data cannot be recovered

4. Data Retention After Deletion

After your account is deleted:

• No personal or health data is retained after the deletion process is complete
• Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (which cannot identify you) may be retained for analytics and app improvement purposes
• Crash reports and performance logs that have already been anonymized are not deleted, as they contain no personally identifiable information

5. Important Things to Know Before Deleting

Please consider the following before proceeding with account deletion:

• Account deletion is permanent and irreversible — your data cannot be recovered after deletion
• If you want to keep a copy of your health records, please export or manually save your data before requesting deletion
• Any active medicine reminders will stop working immediately upon account deletion
• If you used cloud sync, all synced data across all your devices will be removed
• If you change your mind later, you will need to create a new account and re-enter all your data from scratch
• Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account — you must follow the steps in Section 1 above to delete your account and data
